Mr. Delbert Franklin Leggett, 86, of Williamston, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Reuben Batchelor officiating.
Mr. Leggett was born in Martin County on Oct. 16, 1921. He was the son of the late John and Daisy Clark Leggett. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Taylor of Bear Grass; one brother, Dalmus Leggett of Robersonville; one sister, Sarah Wynne of Williamston; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Taylor and two brothers, John M. Leggett and William D. Leggett.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home of Sammy Taylor, 5160 Bear Grass Road, Williamston.
