Mr. Ernest Jasper “Jack” Hardison, 61, of Edenton, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Plymouth Church of Christ with Bob Moulden and Mike Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hardison was born in Washington County, the son of Blanche Lilley Hardison and the late Dewey J. Hardison. He was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was married to Belinda Burns Hardison of Edenton, who survives. He worked as a fiber line operator with Weyerhaeuser Corp. until his retirement. He was a member of Plymouth Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, E. Jay Hardison of Jamesville; one stepson, Jamie Parsons of Edenton; one daughter, Suzanne H. Scott of Lynchburg, Va.; one sister, Carolyn H. Harrell of Bear Grass and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Plymouth Church of Christ and other times at the home of his mother.
Arrangements are by Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth.
