John J. Lamb, 78, of Ocean City, N.J. passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, he was formerly of Cheltenham, Pa., and had summered in Ocean City, N.J. since 1967 before moving here permanently in 1998.
Mr. Lamb was a graduate of St. Joseph’s University, Class of 1950, and Temple University Law School, Class of 1953. He worked as an attorney for 50 years, and was a senior partner at Mesirov, Gelman, Jaffe, Etal, in Philadelphia, Pa., before his retirement in 2000.
He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini R.C. Church in Ocean City, N.J. where he was an active volunteer in the church community.
Surviving are, his wife, Madeline A. Lamb (nee Lynch) of Ocean City, N.J.; eight children, Michelle Boddorff of Collingswood, N.J., Celeste Breza of Washington, N.C., Denise McPeters of Underhill, Vt., Jeannine Lamb of Ocean City, N.J., Dr. Patrice Trauffer of Rydal, Pa., Christopher Lamb of Wilmington, De., Dr. David Lamb of Princton, N.J., Dr. Marc Lamb of Belle Meade, N.J.; 16 grandchildren; and a brother, William Lamb of Philadephia, Pa.. He was the father of the late Yvonne Winkelspecht.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday morning at 11 o’clock from St. Frances Cabrini R.C. Church, Second and Atlantic Avenue, Ocean City, where friends may call from ten o’clock until the time of Mass. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing, N.J..
