As we walked on the waterfront Saturday morning, we were shocked to see you let your dogs wet the column inside the big, new pavilion. All you had to do was lead them down the steps and let them wet outside. That is a new building on the waterfront. Shame on you.

Power is way too expensive. There probably needs to be a public utility district run by the county, and so, therefore, the rates could be good for the customer and not for a city or a private entity.

For the 124 readers who voted in favor of bringing the sulfur facility to Aurora: Remember that odors and pollution will not stop at Aurora town limits. This plant, which would generate only 18 jobs, will affect our quality of life and property values. Morehead City residents were wise to protest.

The trees in Oakdale Cemetery need to be cut back from the graves.

Please clean your curbing better by the roadside. It promotes better drainage and keeps our town looking clean.
