WILLIAMSTON — Mrs. Fannie Mae Thomas Whitfield, 87, of 5201 Clarks Fork Road, Raleigh, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Whitfield officiating.
Mrs. Whitfield was born on June 9, 1921 in Martin County. She was a daughter of the late Henry Thomas. She was a member of the Eagles Nest Christian Fellowship. She was retired as a clerk from the Eagles store.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Creech of Elm City, Judy Whitfield of Tucson, Ariz., Shelia Barber of Sanford; one son, the Rev. Jim Whitfield of Raleigh; one sister, Dorothy Edmondson of Williamston; two brothers, Ray Thomas of Washington state, Edward Mobley of Williamston; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Biggs Funeral Home.
