Mrs. Betty Ann Spady Bland, 89, of Edward and Key West, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at her home in Florida.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington with Mike Huppmann officiating.
Mrs. Bland was born in Savannah, Ga., on Aug. 2, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Ambler Spady and Marion Elizabeth Thompson Spady. She was married to Leslie T. Bland, who preceded her in death June 13, 1997. She was a graduate of Aurora High School and attended Florida Keys Community College. She was the secretary for the family business from 1962-1976.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Ann Bland Bryant of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Marion S. Stilley of Washington; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Leslie Bland on April 2, 2001, and her twin brother, Thomas Spady in 1974.
