On Sept. 21, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Unit conducted a joint investigation with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Unit that resulted in the arrest of Wanamonca Deverne Gaynor, 31, of 803 Atwater St., Raleigh, and Larry Tanami Blount, 31, of 4717 Ariel Drive, Grimesland.

Gaynor and Blount were arrested in a vehicle in the parking lot at Bojangles’ at North Campus Crossing in Greenville. Investigators seized more than three pounds of marijuana stored in Gaynor’s vehicle. Gaynor was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony maintain a vehicle/place/dwelling to facilitate drug activity. Blount was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.

Gaynor and Blount were confined in the Pitt County Detention Center.
