Mr. Thomas Earl Mills, age 51, a resident of Chocowinity died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at University Health Systems Inpatient Hospice.
A graveside celebration of life will be Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mills Family Cemetery, Major Lane, Black Jack, N.C., and will be officiated by Rusty Dixon. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 U.S. Highway 264 E., Washington, and other times at the home of Eugene Mills, 35 Philipe Court, Chocowinity. Family and friends will process to the cemetery from the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Thomas will lie in state Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, from noon until 5:00 p.m.
Thomas was born March 24, 1960, in Pitt County to the late L.C. Mills Sr. and Charity Harrell Mills.
Surviving are two brothers and one sister.
