Mrs. Alice Norman Tisdale, 99, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Martin General Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Robersonville, with the Rev. Dr. James O. Hagwood and the Rev. Bill Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Robersonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Tisdale was born in Martin County on Jan. 14, 1909. She was the daughter of the late Henry Charles and Margaret Peele Norman. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Robersonville. She was a member of the Robersonville Garden Club and Booklovers Club. She was a charter member of Stonewall Lodge No. 244, Order of the Eastern Star. On Dec. 28, 1935, she married Thomas M. Tisdale, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Biggs Funeral Home, Robersonville, and other times at the home.
