WILLIAMSTON — Erma Woolard Tice, 93, died Saturday December 13, 2008. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Anderson and Dr. James O. Hagwood officiating.
Mrs. Woolard was born in Beaufort County, daughter of the late J. Wesley and Elizabeth Hodges Woolard. She was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church, the Hospital Auxiliary, Farm Life Ruritanettes, and the Sandra Wynne Sunday School Class. She was retired as a warehouse clerk with Rogers Warehouse.
In 1934 she married L. Elbert Tice who preceded her in death on October 5, 1980. A brother Handy Woolard preceded her in death.
She is survived by 2 daughters Ann T. Bowen and husband Irvin of Williamston, and Nancy T. Bowen and husband Billy of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church and other times at the residence 1510 Piney Grove Church Rd.
