Mr. Carlton Alford Gibbs, 45, of 374 Fisher Village Apts., Aurora, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Peter Baptist Ministries with Bishop Joseph V. Squires officiating. Burial will follow in Idalia Cemetery.
Mr. Gibbs was born in Beaufort County on Jan. 3, 1963. He was the son of Garland Gibbs and the late Annie Pearl Blount Gibbs.
Survivors include two sons, Carlton Gibbs Jr. of Blounts Creek, and Matthew Moore of Greenville; three daughters, Roneisha Ward of Greenville, Alexandria Gibbs of Edward and Leeietta Gibbs of Blounts Creek; four grandchildren; one sister, Sindy Gibbs of New Bern and his maternal grandmother, Mary Blount Shepherd of Aurora.
A walk-in visitation will be held today from 1-7 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
