YEATESVILLE — A 22-2 run that spanned from midway through the first quarter into the second quarter helped propel Washington to a 66-38 victory over Southside in the third game of the Washington Daily News Holiday Invitational at Northside High School Saturday.
The 1-A Seahawks (4-5), led by Kendrick Reddick’s 11 points, played a tight first quarter against the 3-A Pam Pack.
However, a nine-point effort in the second quarter by Mike Moore helped Washington tally 25 for the period. Southside netted 10.
Moore finished the game with 14 points, while Dakuan Spencer led the Pam Pack (6-3) with 16.
Jarees Griffin and Taraja Langley each added 10 for Washington.
Pack coach Joe Lawrence, whose team played its fourth game of the week Saturday, said it was important to get off to a fast start.
Southside coach Dwayne White said his team is still learning to deal with strong defensive pressure.
