Mr. Willie Louis Windley, 57, of New Bern, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Holly Grove Disciples of Christ Church, Belhaven, with the Rev. Johnson Hazel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Windley was a native of Beaufort County. He was the son Elmer Windley and Katherine Jennette, both of Belhaven. He was married to Rachel Wright Windley, who survives. He was employed with PCS Phosphate for 32 years.
Survivors include three sons, Tyrone Windley and Brock Windley, both of Swan Quarter, and Elbert Windley of Aurora; two daughters, Whitney Lou’Deshia Windley of the home and Rhonda Freeman of Greenville; four brothers, Antonio Windley of Sidney, Matthew Jennette Jr. of Fayetteville, Jeffrey Windley of Belhaven and Dwayne Lanier of Bath; four sisters, Carolyn McBride of Washington, Valerie Slade of Sidney, Rebecca Spruill of Terra Ceia and Angela Jennette of Philadelphia, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of Annie F. Wright, 260 Territorial Road, New Bern.
Viewing will take place today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oscar’s Mortuary, Inc., New Bern, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
