Betty Swain Abeyounis, 80, a resident of 112 Rosewood Ave., Elizabeth City, died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at her residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. James Buchholz, V.F., officiating. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Mark Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 p.m., and at other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Twiford Funeral Homes, Elizabeth City.
