Mr. Robert “Sonny” L. Taylor, 66, of 658 West Barr Road, Chocowinity, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2009 at Edwards Cemetery, Chocowinity with The Rev. Henry Horne officiating. Clint Cayton, Coy Godley, Donnie D. Hardison, Jr., Lee Mills, Nabe Mills and Greg Rowe will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington.
Mr. Taylor was born November 18, 1942 in Beaufort County to Robert L. and Rosa Carrow Taylor. On March 5, 1966 he married Gloria Cayton Taylor. He was a retired Construction Supervisor in the Road and Earth construction business.
Survivors include his wife Gloria; one son Robert A. Taylor and wife Jennifer, Chocowinity; a granddaughter, Leah Brickhouse and special niece, Billie Powell, Chocowinity.
He was preceded in death by three grandsons.
