COMFORT — Betty Lou Small Banks, 75, of Comfort passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at University Health System/In-Patient Hospice in Greenville. She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Leon Small, her husband Mack Banks. Betty was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter Kay Yates and husband, Stevie of Washington, sisters Dorothy Whaley and husband, Sidney of Richlands, brother Lynwood Small and wife, Pat of Kinston, grandchildren Shawn Yates and wife, Beth of Washington and Wayne Yates of Ocean City, Maryland; great grandchildren Raegan Alligood and Ayden Yates both of Washington.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Elder Frank Jones officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at Banks Family Cemetery in Comfort.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to University Health System/ In-Patient Hospice in Greenville or to Community Home Care and Hospice of Kinston.
