Mr. Joseph Duane Roberson, 43, of 1320 Proctor St., Rocky Mount, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. John Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Washington, with Elder Russell S. Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Roberson was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 16, 1965. He was the son of Frederick Peele Roberson and Evelyne Farris Roberson of Washington. He was educated in Uniondale, N.Y. He was employed with the Tri-County Industries, Rocky Mount.
Survivors include one brother, Frederick Douglass Roberson Jr. of New York; and three sisters, Valerie Denise Del and Chloe Deneen Dixon, both of Greenville, and Larnetta McKinney of Pine Bluff.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 402 Broad Creek, Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
