When debit cards first came out, banks encouraged us to use them because it would save them money by doing it electronically rather than dealing with the paperwork of checks. I am going back to checks and will switch banks if my bank charges me.
I agree about taking the bridge out at Brown Street, and widen it there so the water can flow. All that money does not need to be spent.
It is a conflict of interest for city employees to serve on the City Council.
Why did the Daily News publish an article two days ago about pollution in Beaufort County but does not tell what businesses are causing this pollution?
I realize the city is working hard, but I do wish it would clean up the trees off the graves in Oakdale Cemetery.

Can you tell us how much of the $5 million in drainage improvements are going to Smallwood only? The rest of the city floods a whole lot more than Smallwood.
If the sulfur plant comes here and we are No. 1 in pollution, at least we will be No. 1 in something.
