Mrs. Faye McRoy Taylor, age 75, a resident of 2205 Old New Bern Road, Chocowinity, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at UHS Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dixon Cemetery officiated by Jason Kirkman. Bobby Perry, Carl Dunn, Michael McRoy, Tracey McRoy, Greg McRoy and Chris McRoy will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Beaufort County on June 22, 1936, to the late Miles McRoy and Lossie Dixon McRoy. She was a graduate of Chocowinity High School and was a retired bookkeeper with Wilson Jones CPA’s. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Haw Branch Church of Christ.

She is survived by her spouse, Haskell Taylor; two sons, Marty Clifton Alligood and wife Doris of Washington, and Miles Todd Alligood and wife Annette of Chocowinity; a grandson, Jacob Alligood; and a step-grandson, Jeffrey Potter; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Linwood McRoy and Edmond McRoy; and a sister, Katie Denby.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
