Mr. Henry Edward Pettiford Jr., 59, of Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, Va., died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry White officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Lee Cemetery.
Mr. Pettiford was born in Washington County on Feb. 20, 1949. He was the son of Simera Moore Pettiford of Plymouth and the late Henry Edward Pettiford Sr. He was a member of Spring Green Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ).
Survivors include two brothers, Victor Pettiford of San Francisco, Calif., and Brian Pettiford of Plymouth; and three sisters, Zelda Monroe and Karen Pettiford, both of Atlanta, Ga., and Wanda Pettiford of Plymouth.
The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Friday. The family will receive friends at the home.
