SHS recognizes students

Antonio Guion was honored as Southside High School’s nominee to the Beaufort County Board of Education for the character traits of responsibility and respect.
Other students nominated for those character traits, part of the Beaufort County Schools’ character-education program, include Davone King, Denise Keyes, Tia Hardy, Rajae Barnes, Devan Baxter, Daniel Long, Kyle White, Marlin Edwards, Gustavo Palacios, Natalie Redmond and Dashe Felton.
Southside faculty and staff also recognized students for being “set for class,” part of the SOAR initiative under the Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies program. These students include Veronica Zimmer, Billie Ramsey, Justin Whichard, Azia Ray, Lori Catherine Ball, Tristan Rowe, Cecil Smith Jr., Jeremiah Johnson, Nicole Cornelius, Antonio Guion, Darion Curlings, Emily Perry, Jayvion Wright, Tiffany Philbeck, Tatiana Henderson, Rahaeem Shelton, Lance Myers, Tiara Lopez, Jayson Martin, Wallace Moore, Nicole Cornelius and Thomas Wainwright.
