Mrs. Dulah Coltraine Pate, 97, of Williamston, died Monday, March 2, 2009.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
In 1936, she married Linwood “Red” Pate, who preceded her in death in 1990. She retired as a licensed practical nurse with more than 50 years of service at Martin General Hospital in Williamston. She was a member of Reddicks Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Vivian Smith, Mary Lynn Jethro and Judy Revels, all of Williamston; two sisters, Louie Peele of Williamston and Elsie Richardson of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; two step sisters, Christine Guy of Rocky Mount and Isabelle Abrams of Pinetops; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Javan Bruce Coltraine, Randolph Murphy “Buddy” Coltraine and Augustus Coltraine; one step sister, Evelyn Coltraine; one step brother, William Murphy and her stepmother, Emma Murphy Coltraine.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 1345 Oakview Drive.
