Mr. B. Harold Overton Jr., 53, of Plymouth, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Plymouth Church of God, Plymouth, with the Rev. Dr. Harvey Parrish and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Overton was born in Washington County on March 18, 1955. He was the son of Blondie Harold Overton Sr. and Charlotte Jarvis Overton. He was married to Judith Medlin Overton, who preceded him in death. He was a truck driver with Shavender Trucking Company. He was a member of Plymouth Church of God.
Survivors include three daughters, Stephanie K. Miller of Plymouth, Vanessa M. Hernandez of Walstonburg and Valerie L. Miller of Greenville; three sons, Eric W. Miller of Latta, S.C., Kevin E. Miller and Jason L. Miller, both of Plymouth; three sisters, Ann O. Underwood of Sumter, S.C., Charlene O. Allen and Bonnie O. Phelps, both of Plymouth; two brothers, Bill Overton of Roper and Donald Overton of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth, and other times at the home.
