Annie Cutler, age 63, of Washington, NC, died at her home Saturday, March 7th. The funeral will be held in Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, March 11th, at 4 p.m. The burial will follow in the Chapel Garden.
Annie was born on June 28, 1945, to Ruth Chapman Heinold and the late Robert Jacob Heinold. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Doug and her three sons and their wives: Matt and Deanna of Brooklyn, NY, Alex and Paula of Boston, MA, and Forrest and Courtney of Johnson City, TN. She is also survived by three grandchildren and her sister, Valerie MacEwan, of Washington. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, John.
Annie was a teacher at Northside High School. Education was her passion, and she touched the lives of many students. She also enjoyed her work with the North Carolina Teacher Academy. Annie was a member of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild.
The family is receiving friends at the home, 238 East Main Street in Washington. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be directed to the Annie Cutler Memorial Education Fund in care of Northside High School, 7868 Free Union Road, Pinetown, NC 27865 or the Organ Maintenance Fund of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 985, Washington, NC 27889.
