The character education trait for the month of October at Northeast Elementary School has been citizenship.
Each teacher nominates one student from the class that best exemplifies this trait. One nominee from each of the county schools is then submitted to the county office for a chance to become the county winner.
Northeast fifth-grader John Tyler Mackel was chosen as the school system’s overall winner.
Other Northeast students recognized for exhibiting the citizenship trait were Cody Christenberry, Eric Garcia, De’Andrea Artis, Nikki Gibbs, Kayleigh Sherman, Luz Garcia, Katie Hopkins, Jessica Foster, Jakyla Harvey, Citlaly Lopez, Yoli Cerino, Quan Spencer, Dillon Cooke, Layla Brock, Hunter Braddy, Tamra Manning, Laura Lyle, Faith Bell and Brice Dickson.
